The Columbia Valley Golf Trail Challenge is the ultimate golf vacation, an opportunity to experience all eight courses. We’ve created a sample itinerary to help inspire you! We’ve packed the 8 courses into 4 solid days but with so much to see and do in the Columbia Valley you could easily stretch this out to fit in other activities. Unless you just want to golf of course!

With all eight courses being within a 35 minute drive you can choose from a wide variety of accommodation. Click here for some ideas on places to stay.

Day 1

Morning Round of Golf at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort’s Riverside Course

It’s truly in the name, Fairmont Riverside 18-hole course crosses back and forth over the fast-flowing Columbia River a total of six times, an undeniably scenic course that attracts golfers of all levels. This player-friendly course is set on a striking piece of property and was planned in a way that makes it extremely walkable. Designed by Bill Newis, the contemporary course was opened in 1988 – trademarking one of the longest seasons in the region. Laced with memorable golf holes that showcase the rugged nature of the surroundings, Riverside has three sets of tees to offer yardage variety for the kids, newbies and seasoned golfers alike.

Dapper’s offers hungry golfers delectable fare. Be sure to check out the daily specials and make your way down for happy hour. Afternoon Round of Golf at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort’s Mountainside Course

Fairmont Mountainside Golf Course is a classic! Being amid the first of its kind and caliber in the Columbia Valley, Mountainside Golf Course looks upon the craggy Rocky Mountain Slopes and down towards the crystal clear Columbia Lake – Mother Nature’s premier backdrop. This course has been testing golfers for over 50 years and continues to entice new and experienced players to its magnificent vistas. With three sets of tees per hole, Mountainside Course caters to a variety of skill levels, offering an even playing field for the whole family.

In 2012, after the debris flow that took its toll on the entirety of the resort, the course received remarkable upgrades after having been buried in debris from the slide. From its historical roots and design, golf course architect Doug Carrick took the already esteemed course to an even higher level of excellence.

Stop into Mountainside Grille and enjoy a casual meal with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. The clubhouse has a perfect view of the entire valley below from its spacious patio. Choose from a delicious daily special and join us for a satisfying cold one during happy hour after a day spent on the links. Don’t forget to try their cedar-plank salmon – it’s off-the-hook! Day 2

Morning Round of Golf at Windermere Valley Golf Course

Windermere Valley Golf Course is like a breath of fresh air for golfers who get tired of lengthy rounds and are looking for conveniently shorter games, leaving you plenty of time for a second round of golf or to enjoy other attractions in the valley. Young or old, expert or beginner, Windermere Valley Golf Course has plenty to offer. But, mark our words, this layout is no pushover! Take a tour of their course.

Afternoon Round of Golf at The Point at Copper Point

Carved from the natural beauty of the land, The Point at Copper Point follows the rise and fall of the Kootenay Rockies. Day 3

Morning Round of Golf at The Ridge at Copper Point

The Ridge at Copper Point takes full advantage of the majestic views and character-filled terrain it’s situated on. The innovative design of this Masters-style course features full length Par 3 and Par 4 holes that maintain the perfect blend of playability and challenge. Designed to appeal to every level of golfer, The Ridge will redefine the way you play the game. The Ridge is located directly east of Copper Point, with a tunnel under Highway 93/95 connecting the two courses. Check-in for The Ridge course has at the Copper Point Clubhouse.

Lunch at the Traders Lounge at Eagle Ranch Resort Course

Upscale yet casual, Traders Lounge‘s delicious food is all made in-house! Choose from soups, sandwiches, special dinners and the best of Club House fare. Located in the south wing of the Eagle Ranch Clubhouse.

Afternoon Round of Golf at Eagle Ranch Resort Course

Eagle Ranch Golf Course immerses you in unique experiences. Morning Round of Golf at Radium’s Spring Course

Cap off your epic golf vacation with a morning round at Radium’s Springs Course which takes you on a journey through the Columbia Valley Wetlands, one of the world’s living natural treasures, it is also one of the longest intact wetlands in North America.  The wetlands provide a habitat for wildlife, including; elk, deer, moose, wolf, cougar, coyote, beaver, river otter and bears as well as several endangered species, such as the peregrine falcon and American badger.
