Getting to the Golf Trail
There are many beautiful scenic routes to get to the Columbia Valley Golf Trail. Explore the stops along the way, no matter which direction you are coming from! Once you’ve arrived in the Columbia Valley, golfers will be thrilled to learn that all 10 courses along the Golf Trail are all within a half-hour’s drive.
From the East
Roadtrippers entering from Alberta will enter the Columbia Valley through the beautiful Kootenay National Park on Highway 93. The drive will lead past various stunning viewpoints, hikes, and day-use areas. Golfers will from the East will be welcomed to the Golf Trail by passing through the iconic Sinclair Canyon in Radium Hot Springs, before reaching the Springs Golf Course tucked within the Village.
From the South
Travellers from the South will be treated to views along the drive from Cranbrook, BC & the US border on Highway 93/95. As golfers near the Golf Trail, they will be treated to views of the expansive Columbia Lake, The Fairmont Hot Springs hoodoos will welcome golfers to the Columbia Valley Golf Trail, with the nearby Riverside Course tucked just around the corner!
From the North
Golfers hailing from the North will travel along the stunning Highway 95 from Golden, BC. Views along this stretch of road overlook the Columbia Wetlands, one of the largest uninterrupted wetlands in the world. Along the way, you will have plenty of opportunities to spot some wildlife and take in some truly breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains, farmland, and rolling hills. Make sure to stop at in at the small towns you’ll encounter along the way for some local honey and a snack. Golfers from the North will first encounter the fan-favourite Spur Valley Golf Resort.
